Online Running Coaching

A flexible coaching package that leads to great results.

Rather than a more rigid plan written in blocks, I’ll review your runs and update your plan week by week, meaning we optimise your performance and recovery. Advice on strengthening, mobility and technique with weekly catch-ups via video call.

Online Running Coaching

This package is a 6 month commitment that gives you weekly catch up video calls so we can update your plan accordingly.

Everything from Online Coaching, plus an additional 60-minute studio session each month. We use the studio sessions to check out your strength, technique and mobility improvements, then tweak and progress your training as needed. This allows for more improvement and variety.

1-2-1 Running Coaching

Ideal for people who want to leave no stone un-turned. “Kyle’s been coaching me for about 15 months now and I can really see the benefits. I’ve had some ups and downs in fitness due to injury and illness but Kyle has been a steady rock throughout. Even when I was unable to run just 5 months ago Kyle set me versatile workouts on both the bike and cross trainer which really helped me stick to a plan and not lose much fitness even when not running”

Ashley Briggs
Amsterdam Marathon

“I had ran marathons before, but my pacing had always been inconsistent and I wanted to be able to maintain a pace and prevent recurring injury which I first received in 2018. Kyle has a flexible approach and works with me to dynamically plan my training week. For Manchester Marathon, he guided me on carb loading and nutrition to ensure I had adequate fuelling for the day. Not only did I achieve consistent pacing in Manchester but I finished the last 10k on negative splits, with energy left over, and took 7minutes off of my previous time.”

Amanda Anderson
Manchester Marathon

“Kyle’s knowledge, meticulous planning and attention to detail on all aspects of running has been superb. We’ve worked on strength & conditioning, running technique, race strategy and more, which has all played a massive part in achieving an 18-minute marathon PB.
Kyle’s knowledge for dealing with injuries and niggles in training has been a massive help to me…
Kyle has no doubt made me a stronger, more knowledgeable and confident runner.”

Questions?

It takes time to get to grips with what works best for you, as well as for you to get to know the exercises, pacing and other elements that many runners don’t consider. Good preparation for a marathon also take at least 4 months, and this gives us time to get ahead or gain some ground to ensure success.

Before your call I check on your training via Garmin Connect, and your shared training document where you can leave notes. We then talk through how you feel the week has gone, any challenges you currently face, and how we plan for the week ahead. The content of each call is as varied as you need it to be.

Absolutely! We’re a team throughout your coaching. My expertise is in how to train, but nobody knows how you feel, your situation and your life better than you do. I make suggestions at points, but it has to be an agreed upon process at all times for it to work and be enjoyable for you.

I’m quite detail-oriented, and appreciate people who work hard, and listen too. Clients being coachable is really important to me, but I have to be as well, to ensure I pay close attention to your wants and needs. I feel I’m pretty understanding of the hurdles that life throws at us, whilst encouraging you to look for the opportunities to get the results you want.

Yes, absolutely. It’s a great opportunity to make training more enjoyable through varying exercises etc. For those with a history of injuries, it’s particularly helpful as it allows us to catch issues quickly, and make adjustments using my knowledge as a sports massage therapist.

I won’t be the best coach for everyone, BUT I have an extensive and wide-ranging set of skills and knowledge, from nutrition, to personal training, sports massage and running coaching. I specialise in marathon coaching and training plans to be better at what I do. If you want to challenge yourself, work as a team, and are willing to make changes in order to achieve changes, then you could do something really special.

“We identified areas of my form that we could work on via strength work and drills. On race day I absolutely felt the benefits of this groundwork, I felt strong. Strength work and drills is something I’d paid lip service to previously as it’s not something you can put on Strava, and if it’s not on Strava does it count? (turns out that it absolutely does).

Kyle was there at any point if I needed any additional advice and support throughout, with really useful advice and insight to strategy on the day. I really enjoyed the sessions that were set for me and found that the “effort sessions” were always pushing me.”
